I’ve already reduced my Instagram consumption since I’ve banned Google from my phone. I never installed the Instagram app again, but I used the mobile browser version to get some updates from friends and other sites that I’m following.
The mobile version of the Instagram website works, not well, but it works. That was another reason why I decided to use this version. It is not so comfortable and when it is not so comfy, I don’t use that so much – so that were my thoughts – and my theory particularly works. I didn’t do doomscrolling and I never explore Reels or something like that. So I saved a lot of time by no distraction.
Now, I did the next step. I logged out of the mobile version of Instagram to save more time and reduce social media consumption. I like to invest more time in studying…do something useful. So I’m exited how long I will keep my discipline up.
If I’m successful for 6 or more months, I will completely delete my account, but I don’t know if I’m strong enough…I need to cultivate my friendships, so that I’m always up-to-date without viewing their Instagram stories.
Cheers Bennet 🍻
